A Big Thanks From the TPC Team

After 18 remarkable years of serving the cycling community, The Pro’s Closet (TPC) will close its doors in October. Since our founding, we’ve had the privilege of helping over 160,000 customers find their perfect ride and have sold more than 46,000 bikes. It’s been a hell of a ride, and we couldn’t be more thankful to the customers, employees, and vendors who made this journey possible.

"From our dedicated team to the loyal riders and industry partners, your support allowed us to grow and create a lasting impact. While this is the end of the road for TPC, as it operates today, we are proud of what we’ve accomplished together."

The Pro’s Closet began with a vision to make cycling more accessible by offering a better way to buy and sell used bikes while becoming the first true “certified pre-owned” bike offering in the cycling industry. Over the years, we’ve remained committed to providing exceptional service and spreading the joy of cycling. As we close this chapter, we reflect on the community we’ve built and the countless miles our customers have ridden.

Because at the end of the day, Bikes make it better—and we still believe, Bikes are meant to be used.

Here's a quick look back at the people and places that made TPC possible...

VW Bus (2006):

Where it all started. Our founder and former pro racer, Nick Martin used a borrowed computer to sell his used gear from his vintage VW Bus. TPC grew from there. 

TPC North Boulder Warehouses (Pre-2016):

In the early years, TPC moved between several small warehouses in Boulder and Denver, Colorado. Likewise, the team was small and agile. TPC was growing into one of the top used bike and gear sellers on eBay. 

TPC Boulder HQ (2016-2020):

In 2016, TPC finally settled down with our new HQ in the center of Boulder. We had become eBay's biggest used bike seller and were ready to transition off eBay to launch our own website and introduce the world to Certified Pre-Owned bikes. 

TPC Longmont Satellite Warehouse (2019 - 2020):

We outgrew our space so we opened a satellite warehouse in Longmont, Colorado. Our Boulder HQ handled tech, marketing, shipping and receiving, and customer service. Longmont handled inspection and service, photography, and packing. 

TPC Louisville HQ & Retail Store (2020-2024):

In 2020, we moved to our new HQ in Louisville, Colorado and consolidated our growing team under one roof, all to support our flagship product — Certified Pre-Owned bikes — and to open our first retail store to serve all of our local customers. 

TPC Rides:

More than anything, we'll miss riding together and being a part of the amazing cycling community here in Colorado. We had some good times out there!
