BMC, the Swiss cycling powerhouse, has earned a reputation for creating precision-engineered bikes that are as versatile as they are practical. Their journey began as the Bicycle Manufacturing Company, producing mid-range mountain bikes. However, in 2000, they pivoted towards high-end racing bicycles and brought carbon-fiber production in-house. The Swiss roots shine through in every model.
BMC Road Bikes
The road bikes are crafted from a selection of hydroformed aluminum and multiple grades of carbon. BMS are pioneers in endurance and aero road bikes, continually integrating innovations from these designs into their road bikes to enhance performance. The Teammachine, a bike renowned for its stiffness and lightweight frame, has been celebrated on global stages, including the Tour de France, Paris-Roubaix, and the Olympic road race.
The BMC Roadmachine represents a fusion of racing spirit and endurance comfort. Able to accommodate 33mm tires, it’s a bike made for all terrains. Their gravel line, the BMC URS (Unrestricted), brings together road and mountain bike technologies to create a unique, 'soft tail' ride with 10-20mm of elastomer suspension.
BMC Mountain Bikes
Their mountain bikes are distinguished by their uphill climbing capability, a feature rooted in their Swiss heritage. The Fourstroke, a full-suspension cross-country model, is designed to excel in ascents and descents. BMC's hardtail XC racer, the Twostroke, exemplifies how simplicity can be a strength, with rear-end compliance and room for wide 29er tires. Both the carbon and AL versions feature low, flattened seat stays, and the carbon model includes a D-shaped compliance seat post that can be swapped out for a dropper.
