The VPD 2.0 protector provides ample defense against injury thanks to the protective padding that is reinforced stretch material that warms to your shape, but hardens immediately on impact. Its impact absorbency rating meets the toughest EN1621-1 Level 2 standards. The perforation in the padding still allows your knees and legs to breathe, which will be a huge help when you are climbing on a hot day. Perhaps even more importantly, the crash retention strap holds the pad solidly in place even on impact. No one wants to end a ride with a crash, but wearing some POC protective gear will increase your chances of being able to escape with nothing more than your pride being bruised.
