The Specialized Stumpjumper is a pioneer in mountain biking. Although it’s seen some changes since its launch in 1981, it remains a quintessential and popular trail bike. From fast and flowy to steep and technical trails, the Stumpjumper handles confidently and comfortably. Current models come with 29” wheels and 130mm of travel, while previous generations ran a 27.5” option and 140mm of travel.
The Stumpjumper EVO is a beefed-up version of the trail bike that’s an absolute rockstar on descents. While it climbs incredibly well, a slacker head tube angle, adjustable geometry, and 150mm of travel give it even more versatility and grip on rowdier rides and when pointed down. Previous models came with 140mm of travel and either 27.5” or 29” wheels, while current models come with 29ers and 150mm of travel.

Why We Love It:
The Stumpy EVO is a slacker, brawnier evolution of the Stumpjumper. Specialized added more suspension with a slacker head tube angle, making this a super-capable treasure. It’s more forgiving on jumps and in the rough than the classic Stumpy, and ready to get absolutely rowdy.
